Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, known as C. S. Setty, Chairman of State Bank of India, is recognised as one of Asia’s Most Influential Leaders 2026 in the SpeakIn Power List™. He leads India’s largest public sector bank, serving customers across the country and overseas.

C. S. Setty joined SBI as a probationary officer in 1988, starting at a branch in Bardoli, Gujarat, and has built his career within the institution over more than 35 years. A Bachelor of Science in agriculture graduate and a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers, he rose to Managing Director, where he oversaw international banking, global markets and technology. He took charge as the Bank’s 27th Chairman in August 2024.
